LEGAL INFORMATION | ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK:
Outdoor activities, including hiking, inherently carry risks. By participating in trips organized by Puerto Rico Natura, you acknowledge and accept these risks. To proceed with any activity, you will be required to complete the Waiver of Liability and the Release of Liability and Acknowledgment of Risk form. We are not liable for any personal injuries, damages, or loss of property that may occur during your trip.
- We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes coverage for outdoor activities.
- Please ensure you bring a copy of your insurance policy with you on the trip.
HEALTH AND FITNESS REQUIREMENTS:
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, it is essential to be in good health and physical condition. Certain health conditions may prevent participation in hiking activities.
Examples of such conditions include:
- severe cardiovascular issues like heart disease
- musculoskeletal disorders such as advanced arthritis
By participating in this activity, you acknowledge and confirm that you do not have any health condition that would prevent you from safely engaging in hiking.
- It is your responsibility to assess your own fitness and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any concerns prior to participating.
- It is also important to disclose any relevant medical conditions that could affect your ability to participate in strenuous outdoor activities. This helps us better accommodate your needs.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
All participants must have the ability to walk with balance through ravines and maintain the pace with the rest of the group. If you or members of your group lack hiking experience, an informal evaluation may be conducted through a phone consultation. Alternatively, an adjustment to the selected route may be offered to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
