We just spent the day travailing the Camino de Las Cotorras in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, a relatively untouched and rugged trail that makes you feel one with nature. It is approximately 4.5 miles of narrow trails that because of the peaks and valleys makes it feel a bit longer. Notwithstanding that, however, you don’t want the hike to end. For those who love hiking with trekking poles, this route will not disappoint. Even a helmet was helpful as many logs and branches cross the rugged path. Walking along precipices with steep but safe drops to the right and left make for a memorable experience. With Ricardo guiding us through the vegetation with his machete it was truly an unforgettable experience. It is also evident that Ricardo loves what he does, filling the day with historic stories related to the hike. I highly recommend this hike to any intermediate hiker.
